Every month my podcast patrons get a Spotify playlist of that episode's songs. Building it by hand meant an hour a month of copying each track, searching Spotify, and rebuilding the list one song at a time.
So I handed the whole job to an agent that runs itself.
Looks out for a new episode and pulls out its tracklist
Finds each song on Spotify, even messy Hebrew and English names
Builds a private monthly playlist and emails me the result
Matching the right song on Spotify
The podcast is Israeli music, and the tracklist is written in English transliteration. This makes it hard to match songs on Spotify. Sometimes they have Hebrew names, sometimes they have English transliteration, but using a different convention.
So a plain search often finds the wrong version or nothing. The agent cleans up each name first, picks the best Spotify match, and remembers it for next time.
A new episode goes up and the playlist builds itself, with a report in my inbox.
What used to be an hour of fiddling is now a glance.
Built as a patron perk for my podcast, so ask and I can walk you through a real monthly run.
