The problem

Kol Cambridge is my Israeli-music podcast. I have very limited time to invest on anything beyond the show production, and the website was very tired, wasn't SEO-optimized and wasn't updated with new episodes.

The approach

So I rebuilt it to be found easily and to keep itself current.

01

Redesigned the whole site around a searchable archive of every episode

02

Tuned it for search engines and AI answers, so people actually find it

03

Wired in new shows automatically, with their cover art

04

Pulls that from three separate sources, and parses each one carefully

The part I love

It adds new shows on its own, from three fussy sources

The site keeps itself current by pulling new episodes and cover art from three different places. Each data source has to be read and cleaned up carefully before it goes live. Now it stays fresh without me touching it.

The outcome
310 episodes
in a searchable archive
3 processes
keeping it updated on its own
Low-touch
site maintains itself

A new episode publishes and the site updates itself, artwork and all. Twenty years of shows, are finally easy to search and easy to find.
